Experience the trill of track days
As the proud owner of a sports car, I really enjoy driving it to it’s limits. Doing this on the street isn’t the safest idea. There are many tracks around the country that let you take your own car out and drive it to it’s limits.
There are also Exotic Car Experiences that let you take a few laps in cars that most of us only dream about owning or even driving! I recently purchased a Groupon for driving a Nissan GTR around a racetrack. I also opted to take a few laps with a professional driver in a BMW M3. He gave me instruction on the best and fastest way to get around the track. Then it was my turn. They offered many exotic cars like McClaren’s and Lambo’s. I own a Nissan 350Z Roadster so I opted for the big sister of my car. The GTR. all wheel drive and over 500 HP. It was only for 3 laps but WOW was that FUN! They offered a discount on a class that you must take to drive your own car around the track. One of these days…. Once you take the class, you are certified to come out to track days and play on the track with your own car.
Also,when we were in Vegas (baby) and went to Exotic Racing with a group of friends. We all rented cars. I drove a new Corvette Stingray and a GTR. This was 11 laps total. 5 laps in the Stingray and 6 laps in the GTR. It was awesome driving more laps as you got the feel of the car and learned how to drive the track better. They offered all kinds of exotic cars with fees aligned with car prices. From Lambo’s to high end Ferrari’s. I was following an orange Lambo that blew the engine right in front of me! Part of the price is to cover the car. If anything happens, they take care of the car. If you are hurt, that’s your responsibility. Anyway, they called all the cars off the track and made sure there wasn’t oil or anything on the track, then we got to go back out and finish our laps. I got an extra lap out of it. They put a professional driver in the car with your. They have a brake in case things get out of hand. We were hitting about 110 mph at the end of the straight.
